All Apologies: I made a demo tape and it’s a Nirvana song

I won’t write a long screed about how I love hearing bands’ home demo tapes, or how much I adore cover songs. Instead, here’s a combination of both: a home demo recording of my take on Nirvana’s “All Apologies” from their 1993 album In Utero.

SPIN magazine once described the last line of this song as “an epitaph equal parts puzzling, comforting, and devastating.” That’s exactly how I feel about the whole composition. It was the last single that Nirvana released prior to Kurt Cobain’s death.

You won’t find this track on Spotify or Apple, I’m just sharing it here with you folks who are newsletter subscribers. But if you like it, let me know in the comments and maybe it can find its way onto the next record!
