Flo is an artist from southern Chile whose work is featured on the cover of The Ellis Court’s What More EP. My partner and I came across one of their prints in 2021 while we were hunting for locally-made art at a shop called Let It Bleed. We both immediately loved it and took it home to frame it.

About a year later, after a long phase of songwriting, I was starting to think about which tracks to record for an EP. I found myself looking at Flo’s print hanging on our living room wall and suddenly it clicked in my mind: this would make a great album cover for the set of songs I was planning to record.

I managed to find Flo on Instagram and discovered that, coincidentally, they also happened to be a resident artist at the queer tattoo collective where I had gotten some ink done a few months earlier: Nowhereland Tattoo. So at that point it just seemed like fate. I messaged Flo to ask about using this particular piece of art for the cover of the EP, and they agreed to let me license it!

Flo has since left Berlin and moved back to Chile, but rumor has it that they’re currently working on an ambitious new creative project, so stay tuned to their Instagram—and if you’re in Berlin you can also go check out their street art at Maeurpark!
